Welcome, I am Michelle Mancini

I am a Tech Career coach who is known for teaching ambitious IT professionals the strategies and mindset to take control of their career in order to reach their full potential!

I am committed to helping you take control of your career and live to your full potential, so that you don't look back one day and say "If only..."

Because I believe you deserve to excel at your career and life, while enjoying what you do and getting the pay and recognition that goes along with it.

About Me

I love how demanding, fun, exciting, stressful the corporate world can be.
I know what it feels like to know in your gut you are in the wrong role but don’t know where to go next. I also know what it feels like to know deep down what you want to do (or don't want to do) but have no idea how to get there.

As a single parent in a foreign country, I had to earn more to support myself and my 3 kids. I studied successful people and implementing their strategies. I started seeing results almost immediately: promotions every 18 months and doubling my salary every 5 years. I shared what I have learned with others, and they got results.

Now I want to share what I know with as many people as possible, so that you don't have to struggle with the unknown but skip to the good part!!

I wanted to share some exciting news with you: I recently secured a job with
an Australian tech company, and it has been an incredible experience so far! I
am reaching out to express my gratitude for the valuable advice and honest
feedback you provided during our one-on-one session. As someone coming from
overseas, hearing from an industry veteran like you that my qualifications and
skill set were valuable was incredibly encouraging. Your words motivated me to
pursue a career in tech rather than settling for just any job I could find.

Thank you once again for your support and guidance.

John

Purpose-Driven Motivation: Discovering the Value of Your Role

June 25, 20242 min read

Years ago, my sister worked as a nurse in the emergency department. I can’t remember the exact details, but she was working on a young boy who they unfortunately couldn’t save. As she walked through the waiting room, to go outside for some fresh air and to try and process what has just happened, a dad sitting with his sick child in the waiting area started yelling at her because they have been waiting for over an hour to see someone.

That same day, I ran a requirements workshop on Procurement processes.

I remember when she told me, apart from feeling terrible for what she and all other nurses and doctors have to deal with, I wondered what purpose my day had. I showed people how to create a purchase order.

I think about that day often. Since then, I try to find the real reason that makes what I do important. Without purchase orders the hospital cannot buy the beds and the medical supplies they need to help people. Or in my current role, helping companies have successful projects means praise for the people involved in the project, on both sides, which could have an impact on their career and/or income, not to mention all the benefits gained by the company going through the transformation.

I find this way of thinking gives me a sense of purpose, a basic human need, but it also elevates my thinking from “This is just a job” to “This matters to someone” which gives me the energy and motivation to try and do that little bit better.

My advice is if you get to Sunday night and start to feel the dread of having to go to work on Monday, find the bigger meaning behind what you’re doing in your current role.
